How soon can I book my driving test?
You can take the driving test if you are at least 17 years old AND you passed the Hazard Perception Test AND you have held your learner licence for at least 12 months AND you have completed 120 hours in your learner driver log book.
If your driving test is on the anniversary of your license issue date, no problem! Submissions are instant and you can submit your logbook as soon as you've met all the requirements listed above.
Changes to the Graduated Licensing Scheme from 20 November 2017
The Hazard Perception Test (HPT) is part of the licensing process. Once you’ve held your learner licence for at least 10 months, you can attempt the HPT. More information on HPT is available on RMS NSW website.
